What a correct entry looks like
When you add your location as a collaborator, your Reel shows both names on one post — and appears on your profile and ours, sharing the same likes, comments, and shares. That's how we verify and score your entry.
On the share screen: Tag people → Invite collaborator → pick your location.

Questions
FAQs
Do I need to register before posting my video?
No pre-registration is required. Just film your dunk at Fun Park, post it publicly on Instagram, and add your location as a collaborator — that’s your entry. All participants must complete the Fun Park waiver before participating.
Can I submit more than one dunk?
Yes. You may submit multiple entries throughout the competition. Only your highest-scoring eligible submission will be used for winner determination.
Can I compete in multiple Fun Park locations?
No. Participants may only compete in one location's competition. All entries must be submitted under the same selected location.
Does my Instagram account need to be public?
Yes. Your Instagram account must remain public from the date of submission until winners are announced. This allows us to verify entries and calculate scores.
How do I add Fun Park as a collaborator on my post?
When you share your Reel, tap “Tag people”, then “Invite collaborator”, search for your Fun Park location’s official account, and select it. (Already posted? Open your Reel, tap the three dots, tap “Edit”, and do the same.) Adding us as a collaborator is different from tagging or mentioning — it makes your entry appear on our profile too, with likes, comments, and shares shared between both profiles.
Why hasn't my entry appeared on Fun Park's page yet?
Your collaborator request will be reviewed by a member of our team and will typically be accepted within 24 hours. If your submission doesn't meet the contest requirements, we'll send you a message explaining why it wasn't approved.
When does voting start?
Voting begins immediately after your entry is posted on Instagram.
How are winners chosen?
Winners are determined entirely by Instagram engagement — Like = 1 point, Comment = 2 points, Share = 3 points. The participant with the highest verified score at each location wins.
Can I post my video on TikTok, Facebook, or other platforms?
Yes. However, only Instagram engagement counts toward scoring and winner selection.
What kind of dunks are allowed?
Creative dunk concepts are encouraged — costumes, storytelling, creative camera angles, bounce-assisted dunks, and fun group participation are welcome. The basketball must pass completely through the rim for the entry to qualify.
What are the video requirements?
To qualify, your entry must meet all of the following:
- The video must be recorded at a participating Fun Park location.
- The official Fun Park basketball hoop and backboard must be clearly visible throughout the dunk.
- The participant must be clearly visible in the video.
- The basketball must pass completely through the rim.
- Follow the official Instagram account for the Fun Park location you’re representing.
- Post your video publicly on Instagram.
- Invite the appropriate Fun Park Instagram account as a collaborator.
- Include the official contest hashtag in your post.
- The video must comply with all contest rules and Fun Park safety guidelines.
What could result in disqualification?
Any of the following may result in disqualification:
- Entering from multiple Fun Park locations.
- Using fake, bot, purchased, or spam engagement.
- AI-generated or digitally manipulated videos.
- Videos that do not clearly show the official Fun Park basketball hoop and backboard.
- Videos that were not recorded at a participating Fun Park location.
- Edited or misleading videos that misrepresent the dunk.
- Dangerous stunts or failure to follow Fun Park safety rules.
- Any content that violates the official contest rules or community guidelines.
Can I use props or perform a creative stunt?
Yes, but staff approval is required before filming any prop-based, choreographed, or non-traditional dunk concept.
Can I stand on another person's shoulders?
No. The only exception is a child seated on the shoulders of their parent or legal guardian as part of an approved creative concept. Adult participants may not stand on another person’s shoulders under any circumstances.
Do voters need to follow Fun Park?
Yes. Only likes, comments, and shares from users who follow the official Instagram account of the participating location count toward scoring.
Do I need a special Dunk Challenge pass?
No. Purchasing a regular admission pass gives you access to participate in the Fun Dunk Challenge. There are no discounts or reduced admission rates if you're visiting only to enter the challenge.
Can someone come with me to record my Dunk Challenge video? Do they need to pay for admission?
No. A friend or family member may accompany you into the Dunk Zone solely to record your video and does not need to purchase an admission pass. However, they are only permitted to film — they may not participate in any attractions or activities. Our Court Monitor reserves the right to ask them to leave the area if they begin using the equipment or fail to follow these guidelines.
